Product Compliances and Restrictions:
You are responsible to ensure compliance with all local,
state, and federal laws in purchasing products from our
website
AT&F cannot know all of the local, state, and federal restrictions for our products.
Therefore, we do not warrant that you may legally purchase, own, use or carry
specific products offered on our website. Ultimately, it is the responsibility
of the buyer to obey all applicable local, state, and federal laws in regard to
possession and use of any item listed in this web catalog.
If you can
legally own an item that you wish to purchase from our website you can. However, it is your responsibility to ensure compliance
with all local, state, and federal laws. Please consult local, state and
federal laws before ordering. By placing an order, the buyer represents that
he/she is of legal age, without legal disabilities, and that the products will
be used only in a legal and lawful manner. Listed below are some resources
concerning compliances and restriction for some of product lines.
Non-firearm items, such as air guns,
knives, ammunition, accessories, and some gun parts do not require transfer by a
licensed dealer. There are age restrictions on many of these items, and you will
be asked to verify your age (typically by mailing a Xerox copy of your driver's
license) before you can purchase the item.
Firearms -
Anyone who wants to purchase a firearm
must comply with federal, state, and local laws. Compliance with federal laws is
demonstrated by being able to pass a background check, see the a.
Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATE&E) website for more information. For state law
information nation-wide there are two sources the b.
NRA guide to state-by-state gun laws and c.
BATF&E’s “State Laws and Published Ordinances – Firearms.” To ensure local law
compliance you should contact your local police or other law enforcement agency.
If you are not a licensed
dealer, also known as a FFL holder, you must make arrangements with a FFL holder
in your state to receive the firearm and transfer it to you. By contacting your
FFL holder before purchasing the firearm, you can verify that all state and
federal laws will be observed.
Additionally,
AT&F, generally, restricts firearm sales to individuals who can document the
successful completion of a firearms safety course, that they are a law
enforcement officer, military personnel, or honorably discharged veterans as a
matter of policy.
Ammunition -
There are age
restrictions on ammunition, see below. Please provide us documentation verify
your age, this is generally a driver’s license. We will accept a copy of the
documentation via the mail, fax, or in the form of a PDF file e-mail attachment.
- Pistol
ammunition, you must be 21 years old.
- Rifle
ammunition, you must be at least 18 years old.
Magazines -
AT&F will sell complete magazines with a capacity greater than 10 rounds as long
as it remains lawful to do so.
While knowledge of, and compliance with, state and local laws is primarily the
responsibility of the buyer, AT&F will not knowingly sell magazines with a
capacity greater than prescribed limits to civilian customers in those
jurisdictions where a state or local ordinances prohibits sale and/or possession
of these items.
AT&F will not knowingly ship magazines exceeding lawful limits to civilian customers in:
